Founded in 1979

Human Resources Consultants, Inc. was founded in 1979. It is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation providing mental health services for adults living in Sacramento County. Its programs are funded by several contracts administered by Sacramento County's Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS).

Residential Services

In 1979 HRC (RST) began by providing residential services to young adults and went on to assist them in becoming independent while coming to terms with their psychiatric disability. This was the first Transition Aged Youth (TAY) program in Sacramento County; it closed in 2003.

Regional Support Team (RST)

In 1993 HRC (RST) was awarded the contract for one of the four Regional Support Teams in Sacramento County. This program provides medication support, psychosocial rehabilitation, advocacy, and self-help services to assist people at various stages of their recovery.

TCORE

In 2007 HRC (RST) was awarded the contract for TCORE. TCORE provides intensive services to people who have experienced frequent hospitalizations, incarcerations, or crises. Services are comprehensive, recovery oriented, and goal focused. Services are based on the Mental Health Service Act (MHSA) principles of recovery, resiliency, and wellness in order to reduce or prevent the need for more acute services. This program is a collaboration between HRC and TLCS.
