Sacramento County's Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS)

The agency contracts with Sacramento County to provide services to adults who live in Sacramento County and who meet the county's criteria for having a persistent, mental-health diagnosis as defined in the Mental Health Plan for Sacramento County. Both agencies are contracted for services through the Sacramento County Mental Health Plan and receive referrals from the Sacramento County Adult ACCESS Team (916)875-1055. TLCS, Inc.

TLCS is a private, non-profit psychosocial rehabilitation agency that offers living skills training, community support, entilement advocacy, and outreach to individuals affected by mental and emotional illnesses. It has a variety of housing programs that provide safe, affordable housing to its clients. It also provides respite services on a 23-hour basis to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis who are not a danger to self or others.

Consumers Self-Help Center (CSHC)

The mission of Consumers Self Help is to develop and implement consumer-driven programs and services based on the self help philosophy to empower individuals with psychiatric disabilities. The agency consists of various programs, such as its Wellness & Recovery Centers and its Patients' Rights advocacy:

Wellness & Recovery Centers

CSHC's Wellness & Recovery (WRC) multi-service community center promotes the wellness and recovery of participants by fostering meaningful activities and community involvement. These centers are consumer/family-member directed and operated. There are two centers:
